Lunchboxes | Eating & Drinking
The congress organisers can provide lunch boxes on Thursday
and Friday. Please tick your registration form if you would like this. Please
note that free lunches will be provided to delegates attending the ‘Meet the
Expert’ sessions or a ‘Sponsored Symposium’.
There are a variety of other lunch opportunities in the
vicinity of the Congress building.
Important notice: food purchased at
an outlet outside the EICC cannot be consumed inside the Congress venue.
& Drinking
Within easy walking distance of the EICC are many
restaurants, cafes and pubs. The atmospheric Old Town is close by offering an
eclectic mix of top restaurants such as the famous Witchery and cosy restaurants
with outside cafes for those on a smaller budget. The Grassmarket boasts an
array of lively pubs steeped in history and myth from Scotland’s past.
Edinburgh’s New Town is also well served with eateries and
restaurants. Stockbridge especially gives off a village feel with vibrant cafes
and pubs not to mention small independent restaurants.
Finally Edinburgh’s Waterfront at Leith has grown in recent
years into a strong gastronomic centre. Seafood restaurants jostle for space
with pubs and cafes often with views across the Forth and the Water of Leith.
