Does cost affect availability
and accessibility?

The conclusions
of our workshop are as follows:
1. Price is an
important issue concerning the availability of contraceptive
methods, but
other factors cannot neglected either.
2. A wide range
of methods (not only oral contraceptives) should be available
and offered at
reasonable prices.
3. Health
education and counselling from different health care providers is
as important as price. Pharmaceutical companies
play also an important
role on this
field.
